Meetings & Activities

Meetings & Activities

Our monthly meetings are informative evenings, with either a guest speaker or one or more members presenting a subject of interest to family historians.

Our meetings are held at 7.30 pm on the 4th Thursday of the month.

Members - Free.

Visitors welcome - $2.00 donation.

We also run occasional courses in family history research.

The 2024 Events Diary provides a summary of forthcoming events.

Resources

From 1st February our rooms will be open every Tuesday for both GGG members and the general public from 10am till 1.00pm. There will be a GGG member present but no help will be available.

Research Assistance

GGG Volunteers are in attendance in the Family History Room on Thursday afternoons between 2.00pm and 5.00pm.

GGG volunteers are available to assist members and visitors to undertake research using the resources in the Family History Room.

The Gisborne Genealogical Group does not undertake research for people. Our aim is to foster interest in family history research and to continue to build our collection of resources for individual family history researchers.

Researchers seeking information about individuals or families who may have previously lived in the Gisborne or Mount Macedon districts should contact the Gisborne & Mount Macedon Districts Historical Society.
